This has been talked about before and iirc it is both possible and viable using Ripper Demons in POD. They respawn almost immediately just like most other souls in the Dungeon. It's worth using the POD for multiple reasons. Firstly they aren't aggressive, so you won't get ganked the moment you enter the dungeon.
